This class blends education, guided movement, and hands-on practice to help you feel grounded, confident, and ready for birth. You’ll learn how to understand your body during birth, how to open and balance your pelvis for birth, and protect your pelvic floor for a smoother recovery.

Education

Understanding your Body in Pregnancy and Birth

  • Understand how your body changes posturally during pregnancy and how this impacts the pelvic floor and birth

  • Learn how the pelvic floor works during labor and delivery

  • Learn each stage of labor and ways to support yourself during each stage

Preparation:

Moving with Confidence Movement is one of the most powerful tools for birth.

  • Learn and Practice Labor positioning and breathing strategies to support pelvic balance and baby positioning through pelvis during each stage of labor.

  • Learn the types of pushing and how to push productively

  • Learn and practice different hands on pain management techniques and tools

Prevention:

Learn how to protect your pelvic floor and support healing in the weeks that follow.

  • Learn strategies to reduce risk of severe tearing during birth

  • Learn how to effectively release the pelvic floor prior to delivery

  • Learn movement strategies to protect pelvic floor immediately postpartum

Classes are capped at 6 participants per class and are held a few times per year based on demand.
